-Blake's POV-

In the morning my team met with (y/n)'s team, teams JNPR and CFVY and professers Ozpin and Goodwitch at the landing pads where a transport was waiting ready to take off.

Ozpin: "Good, we are all here. Everyone get on board and I will explain the plan on the way."

Ruby: "Wait, your coming with us professor?"

Ozpin: "Indeed I am Ruby, I have sat idly by while General Ironwood did as he pleased for too long, I will not stand by while he hunts down one of my students when we have a way to save him." We all get onto the transport and get seated. It takes off and begins flying in the direction of mount Glenn, Ozpin stands in front of all of us and speaks. "Our objective is to stop Mr. (l/n) and keep Atlas forces from killing him, in order to do this however, we will have to fight him. When we find him I want all of you to hit him with everything you've got, Miss Valkyrie, I need you to focus on his chest. The rest of you attack as you see fit. Be careful that the rest of you don't focus on his chest or he might realize what it is we are trying to do. Once he is exposed, Miss Rose and Miss Belladonna will proceed to cut him free of the creature. This should stop it as it seems it is dependent on being attached to (y/n) to fight." The rest of the flight was quiet. When we were flying over mount Glenn I looked out the side and saw flashes of gunfire coming from below, upon closer inspection Atlas troops were fighting grim all throughout the abandoned city. Though the grim weren't attacking them, they were trying to run past them, as if they were being drawn in towards something.

Blake: "Professor, take a look at this." He walks over to where I am and looks out the ship and sees what I'm seeing.

Ozpin: "I believe if we follow these grim, we may find what we are looking for. Pilot! Set us down!" The airship starts to descend until it's mere feet above the ground, we all disembark before the craft takes off again. A small group of grim run past us, heading the same direction as all the others. "Follow those grim!"

-Your POV-

I'm sitting here, suspended in a dark void, watching everything that is happening, but unable to do anything to stop it. This thing, it keeps absorbing more and more grim, and with every passing minute I feel weaker and weaker. I know it's only a matter of time now before I am completely consumed by this thing, or at least my soul will be.

Y/n: "Please.... just kill me already... I don't want this... I never wanted any of this!" I shout into the darkness, as I constantly fight in a futile attempt to regain control. A rocket hits my arm, and bullets start peppering me from the side, I turn and see a hand full of Atlas soldiers attacking me. "No! Run you idiots!" I shout, but it's already too late, as the creature that's now in control of my body crushes them all with ease.

???: "What's wrong (y/n)? Aren't we having fun?"

Y/n: "Shut up! Your nothing but a monster."

???: "Well if I'm a monster, then what does that make you? Because we are one and the same after all."

Y/n: "I am nothing like you!"

???: "For now, but it won't be long now before I'm all that's left of you. Make this easier on yourself and just let go. Let yourself be taken in by the darkness, just like all of your former squad did. The people who did this to you, to them, are right here, don't you want to exact your revenge for what they've put you through?"

Y/n: "Shut up!" More bullets pepper us from behind and we turn around, in one swift movement the Atlas soldiers are smacked away and sent flying down the street.

-Blake's POV-

So far none of the Atlas soldiers we came across bothered trying to stop us, in fact it seems that they all had specific orders to focus only on any grim that tried to get past them. We had stopped at the first squad we met and Ozpin convinced them we were here to help. We found out where (y/n) is, and that Atlas has managed to keep him locked in one area for about an hour now, while there were teams deployed around the city to stop any grim from reaching him to make him even stronger. As we near where (y/n) supposedly is, we see several Atlas soldiers fly through the air and slam into a building before falling to the ground motionless, most likely dead. We round a corner and see him there, his back too us. He is easily twice as massive as before.

Ozpin: "Alright everyone, you know what to do. Let's bring him home."

Everyone: "Right." We all start attacking (y/n) I don't want to do this, but it's the only way we can save him. Ruby, Yang, Coco, and Ren start firing at his back while the rest of us start running around him, attacking whenever we have a chance, occasionally going for his chest whenever the opportunity arises.

-Your POV-

I start getting shot in the back again, and turn around, expecting it to be more Atlas troops, but to my dismay it's not, it's my friends.

Y/n: "No! What are you all doing here?!"

???: "Isn't it obvious (y/n)? They are here to kill you. Don't worry though, I won't let that happen, I'll stop them."

Y/n: "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH THEM!!!"

???: "I would have left them alone if they hadn't come, but since they did, now they must die."

Y/n: "NO!" I mustered every last ounce of strength I had, trying to gain control, fueled by the need to stop this before any of them got hurt, or worse. I was managing to slow down his movements somewhat, but I couldn't regain control. I keep fighting though, hoping this will be enough to give the others a chance to end this.

???: "What?! How are you still able to resist!?!" He swings an arm at Ruby, Yang, Coco, and Ren, but they are able to dodge it, just barely. If I hadn't been slowing him down, they would have all been hit. "Stop! They will kill us!"

Y/n: "Good. I'm counting on it."

???: "NO!" He roars in anger, as tendrils shoot out from all over our body, flying in every direction trying to attack everyone. I see Ozpin out of the corner of my eye fly in at break neck speeds cutting through the all the tendrils with ease, with how fast he was moving, he could give Ruby a run for her money in terms of speed. A few grenades hit our chest and I see Nora firing away at us with her grenade launcher. Ruby launches herself forwards, slashing a chunk out of our leg, before being punched back, sent flying through the air and crashing into a building. Coco is firing at our head and one of our arms blocks her line of fire. Jaune is attacking our other leg and he gets kicked away. 'Honestly Jaune... I admire the effort, but what were you hoping to accomplish?' I think to myself, as the others keep shooting and cutting pieces off of us. Coco, Yang, and Nora are all focusing on our chest now, blasting off massive pieces of the black material that is surrounding me, and in the darkness, I start to see a light in front of me, as they blast away all of the fleshy substance in front of me. I hear one of the others yelling, but don't know who it is.

???: "There he is! Ruby, Blake, now!" Though it seems this thing is onto what they were planning, as it uses one hand to cover me up.

???: "I will not let you take him, not after I have finally been set free after so long!" The other arm smack Nora, sending her flying into Ren, knocking them both into a building, before slamming a fist down on Pyrhha, who attempts to hold it off with her shield, but as the fist is pulled away she is flattened into the ground, as she tries to get up, Jaune helps her and the rest of her team fall back. Pieces of rubble start floating off of the ground, before flying at us and impacting us at high speeds, some of them embedding into the black flesh. Suddenly the hand covering me falls off, as Ruby used her scythe to cut through it, and Blake jumps towards me, hanging onto my shirt as she starts attempting to cut me free.

Blake: "Don't worry, I'll have you out of here soon."

Y/n: "No, there's no time... End this Blake, before anyone else gets hurt... You have to kill me."

Blake: "No! I will save you!" She cuts one of my arms free, and I can feel what it's trying to do, I shove her off me and send her falling to the ground as several black tendrils intersect at right where she just was a second ago, if I hadn't done that, she would have been skewered.

Y/n: "You have to kill me!" She shakes her head. Ruby comes flying by, cutting off the tendrils while Blake jumps at me again, attempting to free me once more. She manages to get my other arm and the top half of my chest free.

Blake: "Come on, I've got you." She puts her arms around my chest and tries to pull me out. "I could use some help!" I see Yang toss Jaune up here, who then proceeds to cut one of my legs free, and then the other, as I finally am separated from my prison and pulled free, falling back to the ground with Blake. When I'm on the ground, I suddenly feel very week, and it's hard for me to stand. I lean against Blake who holds me in her arms.

Y/n: "That was stupid and reckless, all of you could of been seriously hurt, or killed! I can't believe you all risked your lives for me.... Thank you. I mean it." My body feels numb, I can't feel anything, not the ground beneath my feet, or Blake's embrace. Suddenly a lone gunshot goes off and I stumble backwards, though I don't know why. I see blood splattered on Blake's face that wasn't there before and she's looking at me in horror, I look down and right where my left lung is, there is a large hole, where blood is starting to pour out of quickly. Blake tries to stop the bleeding while everyone else looks at where the shot came from, and standing there, smoking gun in hand is....
