Y/n: "What do you want Cinder?" I ask, not looking behind me. I needed to finish this conversation quickly, knowing every second I waited meaning less time I had to get away from people.

Cinder: "You know what I want! Why would you choose her over me? I could have gave you everything you wanted."

Y/n: "Why are you so obsessed with me?"

Cinder: "Because I know you love me! You told me so yourself."

Y/n: "So that's what this is about huh? Let me tell you something, I may have said it, but that doesn't mean I meant it. I said it in the heat of the moment while I was screwing you, which was a mistake in hindsight. Though let me make this perfectly clear Cinder. I do NOT love you, and I never will."

Cinder: "You will regret this (Y/n)." I could hear the anger in her voice. "You and your little whore." I turn around to yell at her, but she was gone.

I came back to the school late Sunday night, after rampaging through the forest again. I wanted to go see Blake, but I figure she's probably asleep by now. So I instead head to my room, and upon entering I find the lights on and Blake sitting there on my bed.

Y/n: "Blake?" She looks at me, and runs over. Jumping on me and hugging me. I don't hesitate to return the embrace "What are you doing here? How did you get in?"

Blake: "I was waiting for you to get back, I figured you would be back around now, and I got in with that key you gave me remember?"

Y/n: "Oh yeah, that's right." I gave her an extra key in case there was some sort of emergency. "How long have you been waiting here?" She pulls out her scroll and looks at the time.

Blake: "A few hours. I was just worried about you." She buries her face into my neck.

Y/n: "I'm sorry Blake, I didn't mean to worry you, and I'm sorry for leaving you alone at the dance, but I had to get out of there."

Blake: "I understand (Y/n), though if your really sorry, I have a way for you too make it up to me."

Y/n: "Really, what's that?" She sets her scroll on my nightstand and sets it to start playing some slow music.

Blake: "By letting me have this dance." I smile at her. I put one arm on her waist, and hold one of her hands in the other, while she puts her free hand on my shoulder. We spend the next three hours just slow dancing and talking about stuff.

Y/n: "This is nice."

Blake: "Yeah, it is." She looks at the time. "I better be going, we have those missions in the morning."

Y/n: "Right, tailing a huntsmen. I wonder what Ozpin's gonna have me do, since I don't have a team." I give her a kiss goodnight, she grabs her scroll and leaves. I then grab a shower, put on some clean clothes and head to bed.

In the morning I was with all the other first years students, while they were searching for missions I saw Ozpin talking to to RWBY.

Ozpin: "-so instead of waiting for you to break the rules, how about we bend them instead?" He then notices me. "Ah, Mr. (L/n), I was just about to come find you. I'm assigning you to team RWBY as a temporary member for this mission. Seeing as you don't have a team and I won't waste time having one student shadow a huntsmen."

Y/n: "Understood professor." He then walks away, "Looks like I'm coming with you then ladies."

Ruby: "Alright!"

Weiss: "Well, his skills are bound to make things easier."

Y/n: "Thanks for making me feel like your glad your friend is coming with you Weiss." I say, sighing in defeat, getting the sisters to start laughing, even Blake let's out a giggle.

-Time skip-

When we had arrived at Mount Glenn, I was completely shocked by the destroyed cityscape, nothing but ruined buildings, streets littered with rubble, and just overall devastation. Being what I am I could feel all the fear lingering in the air, from those poor souls who met their end in this place. I was brought out of my thoughts by proffesor Oobleck shouting.

Oobleck: "-they've spotted us!" I look in front of us, and sure enough there was a pack of beowolves approaching. The others go to grab their weapons but I walk out in front of them towards the pack of grim. "Mr. (L/n) what are you doing?!"

Y/n: "Don't worry professor, I can handle these mongrels." I say as calmly as I can through clenched teeth, angered by just thinking of how many people must have died here at the hands of the grim. I raise my hand out towards the grim, my hand becoming engulfed in my (f/c) aura. As I manage to take control of half the pack. "Kill." With that one simple command, the beowolves started tearing each other to pieces, while the others behind me watched on in silence. Within a few minutes only a few beowolves were left standing. I take out my spear and let them charge me, as I swiftly put an end to their existence. I looked behind me and see a mixture of expressions from the five people behind me. Oobleck seemed curious and fascinated, Ruby seemed amazed, Yang looked like she was impressed, while Weiss was looking at me with uncertainty, and Blake was looking at me with a small smirk on her face, her arms crossed in front of her.

Blake: "You done showing off now?"

Y/n: "What?! I wasn't showing off!" She giggles at my defensive response. She was so cute when she laughed, or giggled, I couldn't get enough of it.

Oobleck: "In any case, we need to keep moving. We have a lot of ground to cover." Hours passed, and the sun had begin too set. Oobleck had the girls set up camp on top of a building while he had me come with him to patrol the area and make sure it was safe. "So, (y/n), tell me. Why do you want to become a huntsman?"

Y/n: "Excuse me?"

Oobleck: "What drives you too do this? For some it's too protect people, to do good in the world, for others it's... a variety of less noble reasons. So I wonder, what is your reason?"

Y/n: "My reason huh?" I think for a minute, already knowing why I want to be a huntsman, but I need to figure out how to put it into words. "My family.... They... They are very bad people, who have committed horrible atrocities, I won't go into detail about it, but I want to distance myself as much as I can from them, while also trying to make things right. Though I know with all the blood they've spilled I'll never be able to make up for all they've done... but that's not the only reason. You saw what I could do earlier today... Most people fear me for my abilities, hate me for them, despise me because of them. I want to show people I'm not someone who needs to be feared, I want to prove I'm on their side, that I'm not one of the grim. I just... I want to be accepted as someone not some... thing. Does that answer your question."

Oobleck: "Yes, yes it does. Though I will say this, you are NOT your family, even if they are the worst of people in the entire world, that doesn't make you guilty of their crimes, you do not need to atone for their actions, but I understand why you feel you need too. As for wanted too be accepted, I believe you already are, those four girls with us. They accept you do they not?"

Y/n: "Yeah, they do." I hadn't thought about it like that before, I didn't need to care if other people I don't even know accept me or not, so long as the people I hold dear to me will. "Thanks prof- Doctor, Oobleck."

Oobleck: "Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. We should be getting back to the others now." We get back to the camp, and take turns keeping watch. I wake up in the morning to shouting, as I bolt up from where I'm sleeping.

Y/n: "Huh? What's going on?"  I hear Oobleck addressing the girls.

Oobleck: "Your leader may be in trouble."
